House
House dance is a style from the club culture of New York City that started in the 80’s. House music is usually very heavy in bass and mechanical beats. Some notable dancers that helped pioneer this style are Ejoe Wilson, Caleaf Sellers, Brian “Footwork” Green, Brooklyn Terry, Marjory Smarth, Shannon Shelby and many others.
In class, we focus heavily on the foundations, sharing the history and culture, the feel created by the music and how to adapt this into your freestyle.
