Hip Hop Grooves
Hip Hop Freestyle is a dance style originating from the city of New York. It was created in a social/party environment. Some of the dancers that played a big part of pioneering this dance style are Buddha Stretch, Link, Loose Joint from MOPTOP and Elite Force Crew.
In class you will learn foundational grooves and steps that make up this dance style. You will also learn the history of this style to help you grow a better understanding of the culture from which this dance came from. You will then be able to put your learning into practice through your freestyle.
Because at En Beat we focus on building dancers with a strong foundation, Hip Hop Grooves is compulsory for all En Beat dancers under 18. Over 18’s are strongly encouraged to do Hip Hop Grooves or another foundational style
